Bellmore Gasoline Tanker Rollover

On December 17th at 2327 hours Freeport FD sent Truck 218, Engine 211 and Haz Mat unit 2142 on a mutual aid to the Bellmore Fire Department. A Gasoline Tractor Trailer overturned on Sunrise Highway creating a large fuel fire that destroyed several buildings. Hose Company 1 had one line in operation and 275 gallons of foam was used from Hose Company 4 unit 2142.

On Tuesday September 24th at 3:15PM No Merrick responded to a fire in a 2 1/2 story private dwelling with fire through the roof. A request for Mutual Aid was made to Freeport and Truck 218 responded to the scene under the command of 1 Asst Chief Billy Walsh.
